Who we are looking for...

We are looking for full-time and part-time drivers to join our team!

HealthUrWay is a non-emergency medical transportation company looking to subcontract drivers (with or without experience), who have a great work history and a track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring, and timely manner and who are reliable and responsible to transport children and adults to and from their medical appointments. Our drivers are compassionate, courteous, caring, reliable, and responsible individuals charged with getting clients with mobility challenges to their destinations safely and on time.

No medical care is required during transport – we simply provide the best possible customer service and experience to every patient regardless of socioeconomic status, age, race, or gender.

In this position, you must have integrity. You will be responsible for transporting members to and from their non-emergency medical appointments and other destinations. Our drivers are responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation for customers who are ambulatory (those who have the ability to walk) and for those who use mobility devices.

What we're looking for...

Qualifications / Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Proficiency in the English language is required

  • Minimum of (3) years driving experience prior experience as a Non-Emergency Medical Driver is not required

  • Must be at least 22 years or older

  • Must possess a valid TX driver's License and have a clean driving record

  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen

  • No DUI’s or DWI’s within the last 3 years

  • Safety and security minded, able to read and use GPS & other apps

  • SUPERIOR customer service and verbal communication skills.

  • Must work well with others

  • Must be willing to help others

  • Must a reliable person

responsibilities/Duties

  • Provide safe and secure transportation to all passengers, transporting them to various locations throughout your assigned region

  • Provide courteous and professional customer service to all passenger

  • Assist passengers into and out of the vehicle

  • Communicate effectively with passengers while answering questions about schedules, routes, points of transfer and other inquiries

  • Exhibit problem-solving ability to de-escalate frustrated and unruly passengers should the need arise

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections

  • Maintain a clean vehicle inside and outside at all times, including washing the exterior of the vehicle, cleaning and vacuuming interior and sanitizing per company standards

  • Follow state and federal regulations regarding non-emergency transportation

  • Drive assigned routes in adherence with defined schedule

  • Drive through traffic while obeying all traffic laws

  • Operate wheelchair lifts/ramps as needed

  • Follow proper protocol for securement of passengers without exception

  • Secure all equipment including but not limited to wheelchairs and oxygen tanks appropriately

  • Report accidents, incidents or other traffic disruptions and follow directions when using an alternate route

  • Adhere to and execute all company policies and procedures
